Municipal Enforcement

The purpose of Municipal Enforcement in Pincher Creek is to enforce the bylaws and the following Provincial Acts and Regulations:

  • Dangerous Dogs Act
  • Environmental Protection Act
  • Gaming and Liquor Act & Regulations
  • Traffic Safety Act & Regulations
  • The Stray Animals Act
  • Provincial Offences Procedures Act
     
The Scope of Duties for Municipal enforcement is as follows:
  • Traffic Stops
  • Conducting check stops
  • Issuing Tickets for violation of provincial statutes or town bylaws
  • Serving Town notices
  • Tax
  • Property
  • Vehicle
  • Responding to complaints
  • Interviewing complainants
  • Investigating complaints
  • Taking action on complaints
  • Researching inquiries
  • Responding to inquiries
  • Keeping The Peace
  • Arrests offenders and transporting prisoners
  • Supervising Native Liaison Officer/Summer Student
