Pincher Creek offers diverse opportunities to explore sport, recreation, arts, and wellness. You're sure to find something to peak your interest. Check out our municipally-operated fitness and children’s programs, as well the many community groups and organizations that offer activities for youth, adults and seniors.


 

Kidsport Pincher Creek

Children 18 years of age or younger from low income families may apply to receive a maximum of $200 per calendar year for assistance towards sport or recreation program registration fees.

An application form must be filled in, and the Kidsport Grant Allocation Committee meets in January, April, and September to review applications for that funding period. Not all applicants will be fully funded, and income criteria must be met.

Application forms are available at the Town Office, Swimming Pool, and from sports organizations.

Adapatable Outdoors

Adaptable Outdoors is a non-profit that works to create outdoor recreation that is accessible to people of all abilities. Our programs are available to seniors, adults, and children, and we offer many adaptive outdoor experiences such as fishing, paddling, hiking, yoga, and forest therapy.

Beverly McLachlin Drive will be closed between Frederick Street and Adelaide Street from May 1 to May 2 to allow for the installation of a utility services.

PRESS RELEASE – STAGE 1 WATER RESTRICTION IN EFFECT
April 24, 2024
April 24, 2024 - For immediate release – On Monday, April 22, 2024, Town Council passed the amended Water Utility Bylaw. Changes to the bylaw include the trigger points for enacting water restrictions in the Town of Pincher Creek. This update was requested by the province as part of the Town of Pincher Creek’s Drought Management Plan.
 
The Town of Pincher Creek has moved from Stage 2 Water Restriction to Stage 1 Voluntary Water Conservation effective April 24, 2024 based on the Water Utility Bylaw 1631-24 revisions of April 22, 2024.
