Pincher Creek at Heritage Acres

Sample farm living at this outdoor museum located just northeast of the Oldman River Dam. Operated by the Oldman River Antique Equipment & Threshing Club, this historical  site has something for everyone.

Established in 1988, Heritage Acres is now Alberta's largest independant Agricultural Museum and is a home to a extenstive collection of pioneer and farm related artifacts.  A significant number of relocated heritage building also adorn the site, all filled with interesting artifacts recreating a bygone era.

Some features of this historical center include:

  • The Ashvale School
  • An authentic Doukhobor barn
  • One of Canada's largest collections of antique farm machinery
  • Crystal Village; a miniature village that is a delight for children to explore

The club also moved a full sized barn from The Vogelar Farm to Heritage Acres in 2014, which has become a welcome addition to their collection. Tours welcome.
